Maurice Marley, a promising forward out of Fayetteville (N.C.) E.E. Smith, and sophomore teammate Nathan Tubbs were killed in a traffic accident in Alabama.
According to an Associated Press story, the sophomores died in a head-on-collision with a pickup truck near Winfield, Alabama.

Marley, a sophomore who scored 37 points in a game last week, was highly regarded and destined to be a high-major recruit.

Four people, including Marley, died in the crash. </div>

Wow, sad story I found on scout, sometimes people get so caught up in what players are going to do through their B-Ball career and they sometimes think these athletes are indestructible. I send my best wishes to his family.
