Brian Robinson of Save Our Sonics and SonicsCentral.com has recruited the states biggest stadium opponent into supporting a bill designed to revamp Seattle Center and give the Sonics/Storm funds to build a new arena. "We've been anti-tax subsidies for people with a whole lot of money.</p> "The bottom line is, Brian has figured out a way to enable the Sonics to stay at Seattle Center without unduly tapping the taxpayers for a Sonics subsidy."</div></p>This still uses the same taxes that Van Dyk and CMIT opposed using last year, but they approve this time because it is used towards a greater goal of improving the Center. They want $150M from the team's ownership. They also state plainly that they have local ownership ready to step in if Bennett is not interested in this deal.
