http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/428...to_join_knicks/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A high-level source 'swears' LeBron James will opt out of his contract following the 2010-2011 season in order to become a member of the Knicks. This according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post, in an article about a feud between Isiah Thomas and Greg Anthony. Many analysts and columnists have conjectured that signings by Thomas of players such as Vin Baker and the selections of Rendaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins, all clients of James' agent at the time, are attempts to win favor with the said agent. Both Anthony and Vecsey have speculated on this possibility.</div> I have always absolutely loved how every "high level source" NEVER gets revealed. And LeBron is not going to leave Cleveland, IMO. And if he does, wouldn't you think he would go to a team that has a chance of winning?
Oh, please... it's Peter Vescey for crying out loud. Never pay attention to the guy... If LeBron does leave Cleveland, he would want to go to a winning organization (as you said CB32). But then again, his Nike contract does give him huge bonuses if he plays in NY or LA... and LeBron did go out and publicly say he wants to be the first billionaire athlete in history.

If this was true, and he did want to go to New York, it would be to play on a huge stage with the spot light on him even more than it already is. I just don't think that the Knicks can afford Lebron James given their current payroll problems.
Hey, maybe Dwyane Wade copied LeBron's extension because he is planning to opt out at the same time as LeBron so they can both play in New York!
:shok:   Time to celebrate!!! LEbron Comes here it would be a dream come tru. I would give the who;le team except for Frye and Nate for Bron. But I think he just wants money

Who do you think would become the bigger star if they was to get on the same team and play in New York?
LeBron is from Akron, so he's playing at home with Cleveland, he loved it there. He already has enough money to supports 8 states (lol exaguration, but still), and he is a guy that just wants to win. He goes to New York to get more money, why? I think he would much rather compete for a championship than play for a team with a bunch of crybabies (AT HIS POSITION, mind you) and make a little extra cash (that he doesn't need).LeBron won't go to the Knicks, unless they completely turn around and are a good team by 2010 (very doubtful). And even then it's hard to imagine him leaving.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>and he is a guy that just wants to win. So I don't think you can say Bron rather win then make more money. I think we all would like to think he does, but we don't know him personally. On topic, since this is a issue in like 4-5 years, I think it's pretty safe to say this is just Vescey throwing crap on the wall as usual.

If he hears someone say like "Paul Pierce likes the city of Chicago" he will turn it into "Luol Deng and Tyrus Thomas for Paul Pierce and Tony Allen?" or something retarded like that.
If I were LeBron, I'd care more about business aspirations than playing meaningless games as well. These people are human beings, and everyone wants to gain a dime. Don't get angry cause LeBron didn't give a sh*t about a random game that means absolutely nothing.
Peter Vecsey said Phil Jackson would never coach Kobe Bryant again.Peter Vecsey said Kobe Bryant would be wearing a Clipper uniform.Peter Vecsey said Jason Kidd was going to sign with the Spurs in 2003.Peter Vecsey said the NBA should get rid of the Eastern and Western Finals. Peter Vecsey is a MORON.

He made it sound like that was the ONLY reason he went there... there was an article posted a few weeks ago. I'll see if I can dig it up for you...

And because of this story, stupid reporters are going to ask LeBron about this all year making it a distraction. Since the person that linked the 'story' is unnamed there is no accountability..I hate these rumors, I hate all the useless trade rumors in the offseason. :no1:
What the heck? Lebron will never be a knick. No way he will leave the cavaliers for a loser franchise. Worthless rumor.
o gosh an other lebron 2 nyc rumor... I read one not that long ago saying lebron and wade both took shorter contracts so they BOTH can play in NYcome on
