Re: Sources: Falcons, 'Hawks nailing down Abraham deal ATLANTA -- In their marathon pursuit of New York Jets three-time Pro Bowl defensive end John Abraham, the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks have each reached the halfway point of the grueling race. But they are different halves and, unfortunately for both suitors, they're still a long way from the finish line in trying to land Abraham. This is all pretty confusing.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2372951
Re: Sources: Falcons, 'Hawks nailing down Abraham deal Yeah, im just waiting for a deal to be done before I try and figure this all out....too crazy. My understanding of it is that the Falcons have agreed on a contract with Abraham, but not a trade with the Jets. Seattle has agreed on a trade with the Jets, but not a contract with Abraham. Abraham wants to go to Atlanta, because he has family in the South Carolina/Georgia area and he lives there during the offseason. The Jets dont really care where he goes, as long as we get as much as possible doing it, and right now the Seahawks offer (#31 pick) is better then the Falcons (#47 pick). So crazy....and I dont care where he goes as long as we get fair value for him.
