It would bring back alot of excitement to the Garden that has been missing.
I'm sure the Knicks would love it, but this doesn't make sense for many reasons. The biggest ones are that Kobe wants out of LA because they are not a competitive team, and are not building around his prime. He's not going to want to leave to another team that has even more to rebuild than where he was. It's not as if he's achieving a bigger spotlight in New York, since the Lakers are the more storied franchise in the West, and are phenominally popular. Finally, the Knicks don't have anyone the Lakers would take, unless they could get Isiah to dish out a bunch of draft picks, which given the state of the team, he absolutely shouldn't (but might) do. If Kobe gets traded, look for an Eastern team with young talent, picks, and a chance to win now. Namely, Chicago and Orlando.
