People close to the Nuggets expect Carmelo Anthony to sign three-year, $65 million contract extension. Chauncey Billups shares that opinion, too. "I'm hoping he does. I know Melo loves Denver. It's pretty much home, and I think that he will [sign the extension]," Billups told The Denver Post on Tuesday. "But I've seen stranger things. ... All I can do is be hopeful." There have been rumors that Anthony will opt out of his contract next summer and head to the Knicks as a free agent.
