http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1773 I will never watch the show again after seeing this.
I just read about this right now on AOL. I don't really mind. South Park has taken sh*t too far before. Why bug out now?
I agree with Blaze on this one. We always laugh when South Park makes fun of other things that would offend people but when they do something that offends you it'sm all of a sudden a horrible show. That's just being stupid.
When people mock Irwin's death it makes me mad, it's more personal. I know the show makes fun of lots of people...I never really watch the show anyway but I'm just saying I'm completely done with it. It's not that big of a deal really....I'm sure many other people have stopped watching the show after they mocked something personal.
You know, Steve Irwin made millions and millions of dollars by getting life-threateningly close to very dangerous animals. The 44 years he lived was a much better life than most people have because he exploited life threatening danger. The dude got unlucky and bit the short end of the stick and got what he knew was a good possibility ever since he started his career. Steve Irwin is not a victim, he is a beneficiary of a life-time of success and I highly doubt he would regret anything he's done. That being said, South Park has walked a thin line of what is socially acceptable and not ever since the show started being made. They've shown episode after episode that nothing is taboo and they have no problem making light of any situation in the name of comedy. I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised or even disgusted by this.
Just to let you people know, I don't find South Park funny anyway. They've never made me laugh... EVER.

QUOTE (Illosophee @ Oct 27 2006, 03:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

How is Steve Irwin personal for you, BCB?
I got to meet with him in Australia.
I think they are taking it too far here. The man just died. It's okay to make fun of celebrities, but it's not okay to mock celebrities that just died, and to mock their deaths. This is not cool at all.
I think they are funny, but you just dont do that. Personaly, I lost intrest when they started all that crap about religions(all though the Hitler Devil relationship is funny). Seth McFarlene even knows not to go that far. Now thats some funny stuff....Family Guy.
I saw the episode, and it's typical South Park taboo. If you've watched the show before in the past, where they have done worst things then this, then you shouldn't be surprized it was brought up.
South Park is hilarious. It makes fun of everything. Like others said I don't get why anyone is surprised.
Yeah, the lines were like "There's a guy in a Steve Irwin costume here Satan"and so satan goes over to SI and says"Hey man, you can't wear that costume, it's too soon.""Hey man, it's not a costume, I'm actually steve irwin.""Oh, well you don't have a costume then. Get out."And they tossed him out of Satan's party. Though south park DID come to the conclusion that you have to wait 22 years until something's funny...
"Man, if they ever offend ME again, then I'm going to stop watching the show."Seriously, if you can't stand people being offensive, then you should stop being offensive. To everyone. For the rest of your life. Otherwise you're a hypocrite. And yes, I'm talking about you, BCB.It's the same thing that happened with Isaac Hayes. It was okay when they made fun of Mormonism, Catholism, blah blah, but when they make fun of Scientology, oh man, it's bad! Give me a break.Jesus shitting on an American flag is more offensive than making a reference to a dead guy. They really didn't even say anything offensive about him. If you think that's offensive, you have no idea.
