Liverpool target Iriome Gonzalez has snubbed a move to Anfield and intends instead to continue his football education at hometown club Tenerife. Rafa Benitez is a keen admirer of Gonzalez, 22, and was hoping to make the player his first signing in the wake of Liverpool's American takeover. However Gonzalez does not believe he is ready for a move to the Premiership, even if he acknowledges the allure of playing for The Reds. The player's father and agent, Bernardo Gonzalez, confirmed the decision. "We are grateful for the interest from Liverpool but the player's desire to stay must come first," said Gonzalez senior. "Liverpool is a great club but it means a lot to Iriome to play for his hometown club
It's really annoying me now with RAFA going for Spanish player after Spanish player etc etc... I don't agree with all the hype and over-pricing of English player's but WHY O WHY SPANISH ALL THE GOD DAMN TIME !!!!!!!!!!!
