Spanish coach blasts Raul
MADRID (AFP) - Spanish coach Luis Aragones has launched a new attack on Raul, saying the Real Madrid striker had won nothing when playing for his country. On the eve of Saturday's crucial Euro 2008 qualifier against Denmark, the outburst made headlines in Spain's sporting dailies Friday. Raul, 30, has not played for Spain for a year, despite his strong club form. Confronted by a supporter over the fact at the end of a team training session, Aragones heatedly pointed out that Raul had failed to take home a winner's medal from three World Cups and two European championships. The exchange, caught by television cameras Wednesday evening and rebroadcast Thursday, revived a row that Aragones himself had sought to end. In an interview Wednesday on the Spanish Football Federation's website he said Raul "had been given a raw deal for a player of his talent". Sports daily AS termed Aragones' comments to the supporter "grotesque", and called for his selection for the national team. The other main sports daily, Marca, urged support for Aragones. With Valencia striker David Villa out injured, Aragones chose Espanyol's Raul Tamudo for the Denmark match, although many in Spain had expected the return of Raul.

Yep, and he's the leader of the team, why talk about him like that....I don't understand these coaches at times.
