Good news; Miami 2007 cap number <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Dolphins are envisioning the 2007 offseason as a time when they can do great things to improve the team. They have all but one of their draft picks and are expected to be approximately $21 million under the estimated $109 million salary cap, according to NFLPA sources. But the problematic side of that equation is that the Dolphins have 19 players unsigned beyond this season -- including left tackle Damion McIntosh, defensive end Vonnie Holliday, punter Donnie Jones, snapper John Denney, defensive tackle Keith Traylor, linebacker Donnie Spragan and safety Travares Tillman -- all starters. Valuable contributors Wes Welker and David Bowens also are unsigned</div> My wish list; Briggs LB Bears Clements CB Bills Steinbach OG Bengals Conspiracy theories aside, on a lighter note, I wonder if the Dolphins' woes are because Saban turned down having dinner with Dubya back during training camp?
Why take Lance Briggs when you can take Adalius Thomas from the Ravens. It's very likely that the Ravens may not be able to retain him after the season because he might have a high asking price and the Ravens aren't looking very good with the cap the next few seasons.
you won't get Briggs.. The bears will have space and we will resign him to a big contract atleast we better
I am just starting to compile a list. Is Thomas an UFA? He is more versatile & better suited to Saban's system. Further, he will probably be cheaper.
I don't think the phins have thrown in the towel yet. I hope not. The article was written by the one journalist in S Florida IMO that has any sense of optimism, knowldge, & sense of fair-play.
