Don't read this thread if you haven't seen the last episode. That last scene with Bert singing was my favorite of the entire show. After a lackluster half season, the last two episodes finally kicked it up. I will miss Megan though.
Up until this season, I thought the show could do no wrong. Every episode, imo, was an artistic piece of work on it's own, while still serving to push ahead the much larger story. This season, for the first time, I found some episodes too weak to stand on their own leaving the damning "filler" feeling. The downward trend culminated in last night's episode, where in effort to give us a finale, they trash compacted multiple plot conclusions in an over-crammed hour. The show's too good to jump the shark, but last night is the first time I've ever seen the show be sloppy.
