Carmelo had the best numbers -- 8-for-14, and that was before he made two more game-winners in the past three weeks. One of the worst guys? Kobe Bryant ... 6-for-25. You read that correctly. (You know what that means, right? I can dump him from my 2008 Dream Team because it turns out that he ISN'T that clutch! Good times!)</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/060317 I never get him, does he like kobe or not?

I do like the humor in his articles, so don't read anything he writes as serious work. It's just entertainment. I saw the article on Kobe not being clutch a few weeks ago. How's this for clutch, none of the players Kobe was guarding in the 4th quarter for the TWolves scored a basket.
lol this is the same guy taht called Kobe stupid for not playing the 4th against the Mavs on his 62 poitn performance, then Kobe got the 81 pts a couple months. This writer HOLDS NO WEIGHT, he is weak, and I don't think anyone should take what he has to say seriously. Big time Kobe/Laker hater, not even worth the read.

I'm a Lakers fan but I love reading Bill Simmons no matter who he critisizes (cuz he does it to almost everyone). Furthermore, I'm sure you wouldn't say that he "holds no weight" if he was being positive towards Kobe, am I correct? Bill Simmons is a good read and he actually makes more sense from other so called NBA analysts. I don't believe Kobe is not clutch, but he's simply using figures to back up his point. Plus, Kobe's missed his past 2 game winners straight. Yes, there were additional circumstances (prior to him taking the shot) that changed the outcome of the game and furthermore how Kobe took his shot, but in the end, everyone aside from Laker fans will only remmber the misses for the misses and the makes for the makes. No one dobuts Kobe's clutchness yet. Just like winning is hard to forget and ignore, years of clutch shots over and over are as well.
