If Knicks fans did a little daydreaming watching the Warriors win the NBA title Tuesday, the folks in Las Vegas delivered a stunning wakeup call on Wednesday. Phil Jackson’s Knicks, who own the fourth pick in next Thursday’s NBA draft, have been installed as longshots — big time longshots to win the NBA crown next year. While the more traditional sports books had the Knicks anywhere from 100-1 and 80-1 longshots, one obscure website MyTopSportsbooks.com has them at 500-1 shots to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy. OK, even the ardent Knick hater would agree that’s a little too much and the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook agrees as the Knicks are only 80-1 shots to win it all (So you’re saying there’s a chance?). At Westgate, the Cavs are listed 9-4 favorites with the Warriors and Thunder at 5-1. The Nets, who are reeling after sending away a flurry of draft picks over the last three seasons in deals that brought pricey veterans Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Joe Johnson to Brooklyn, are listed as 100-1.
