Hello everyone, DPGB here. I am solely in charge of the Ice Hockey section at SportsTwo. I want to give you a little background on what I have done for Hockey at SportsTwo. I was given the job during the Playoffs last season. At the time I was more interested in watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup, a first in an amount of years I'd rather not think of. I attempted to get playoff discussion going and had little success. I've written a few articles for the Blackhawks on the forums ever since. The offseason hit and I started using websites like NHL.com, TSN.com and CBC.com to get some news to the forums in hope of bringing in active members. A few joined the forums, but were not willing to work trough a growing process with the forum. I've received help from some of SportsTwo's admins and members with some discussion throughout the off-season. I am one who is not really excited about off-season issues. The regular season starts in September, and I already have plans for Hockey at SportsTwo including both forums. National Hockey League Forums which is simple to understand, everything about the NHL goes here, while at the same time I've been attempting to grow the Other Hockey Forums which is about anything minor league, juniors, college, foreign. I have made topics like the offical SportsTwo Hockey NHL topic. Here you will find information you need to know for the NHL. If you see something I should add, please contact me via PM. I also have topics for the American Hockey League, ECHL, Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League, Quebec Junior Major Hockey League, and the foriegn league from Russia, the Kontinental Hockey League. What can you expect this upcoming NHL season? Well a lot actually. With events like the 2011 Bridgestone Winter Classic, 2011 Heritage Classic, 2011 World Juniors in New York, the All-Star game hosted by the Carolina Hurricanes, IIHF World Championship and the Stanley Cup Playoffs as well as Weekly Game Threads. Each of these topics will be covered here at SportsTwo Hockey by myself and the other Moderators at SportsTwo. I do want one thing, one simple easy request from anyone reading this topic.
