<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - A tugboat managed to free former NBA star Latrell Sprewell's yacht on Thursday afternoon. The boat had been grounded since the previous night. Milwaukee's Best, a 68-foot vessel owned and operated by Sprewell, of River Hills, was spotted in trouble Wednesday about 8 p.m., when police were notified the boat had drifted from its anchor and lodged in about 3 feet of water close to shore, said Sgt. Don Jensen from the city's Harbor Patrol. "Our guys worked on it for about three or four hours," Jensen said. Although the police had joined forces with Coast Guard crews, they never got the yacht to budge.</div> Source
Sad he's only remembered for the "kids" statement...He should be remembered for choking PJ as well, how can we just let that go without bringing it back? I hope his kids are feeding well off his millions of dollars while most of the people in the rest of the world work for a living and probably make not even 10% of what he was offered and rejected.
^ Sorry, I know as a Kobe fan how frustrating it is when people keep bringing in stuff that doesn't have to do with the player's career but JESUS CHRIST, "I got kids to feed???".
^^I know, but he said it was a mistake, and he felt insulted. That was the point of the comment. He obviously knew that he had enough money, but he felt like the wolves should've given him way more.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">Sprewell's troubles are in the past. I think he should start being remembered for his great career</div> I remember him as a player. Knick and T'Wolf were his most remembered days. I don't remember hearing much about his Warrior days though. I do remember his Wolve days and when he was mediocre asking for more than what he is worth and saying forget it and turning it down. Thats what sticks out the most to me because of how selfish he was. Rather than play to play he wanted money.
^^and what about his great years as a knick? he was awesome, and played way past expectations for minny in his first years. He is a very passionate player, that felt cheated by minny so he played like crap the next year. His heart wasnt into it. I am not saying he was right, but i totally see where he was coming from.

Saying your heart isn't in it and playing half assed and than asking for more than you played for isn't right at all. They were offering him a 3 year 21 mil deal man....thats plenty f***ing money to feed "your family" off of grade a meat and lobster for years. Add on his little choking incident and I have no respect for this guy. Don't get me wrong I respect his game and his accomplishments but not as a person.
It doesn't matter how good he was, after doing that, everyone will now focus on the coke and the kids statement. To look at him without thinking those things is like thinking of Michael Jackson without thinking of Neverland Ranch- its not gonna happen...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">How come no one remembers MJ's faults</div> Yeah, I never got that either, his fans make him out to look like a saint, when really, wasn't he always gambling and cheating on his wife?

Spree messed up, and apologised and stuff, when i never heard mj even confront this stuff.
