Ely was rarely used anyway. Good luck to him, hopefully Popovich gets the most out of Ely, he can be a very servicable player for their playoff run.
This is pretty much a pointless trade. Bernie needs to learn to stop caring about how happy the players he trades are and to get the best deal he can. I don't know atleast we got a 2nd rounder out of it. It's just gonna be pretty late pick
I don't know what to expect. I mean, I predicted (among others) Butler to be a steal and have a big impact for the Spurs, and eventually start. That doesn't seem to be the case. Hopefuly Ely can provide the Spurs with something...for his sake, because I'm not a Spurs fan.
