A low scoring, defensive game tonight. I'm loving it so far, seeing as the Spurs are still winning. Spurs are 2-0 against the Rockets so far this season.
Still think Horry is "done" MDE? As I explained to you in the off-season less minutes=more production.

Yet he doesn't need to badmouth the team he won 3 titles with, especially after missing a crucial shot in game 5 vs. the Spurs, and then he goes and signs with the rival San Antonio! (However, he did want to be closer to home) But YOU need to face the facts: Horry is waaaaaay past his prime. He had a good game tonight, but look at his stats for the season buddy.
One game doesn't make a season, it's not like Horry is an All-Star calibur player now because of this game.
Sneak? They earned it, though the Rockets rallied hard to try and win it. Francis should've passed instead of trying to force the overtime himself. Tim Duncan barely squeezed in his double double, and he went 8-11 from the free throw line... Francis had a double double, and Yao had 25 and 7. Edit: Horry may be past his prime, but so is Malone. So what about him? Just because they're old doesn't mean they can't shoot.

I've looked at his stats BUDDY, he is doing a good job at the Spurs, many fans in S.A will tell you the same. He plays 15 minutes a game. Does his job by coming in, playing defense, get some rebounds and knock down a few threes (37% on the season) Unlike at the Lakers he isn't depended on being a starter or playing huge minutes If Lakers were heathly the plan of letting Horry go would of been good but since you are struggling with Injuries he could of been used. In the long run as the season goes on, Lakers will be fine and Horry is happy playing any role Spurs ask of him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One game doesn't make a season, it's not like Horry is an All-Star calibur player now because of this game.</div> Horry has been playing well for Spurs basically all season, very good role player that can knock down shots. No one is calling him a star, just trying to get a poster to admit Horry is not "done"
I didn't think my comments would start an argument, but I just have to ask.... what is the Laker's record against the Spurs this year so far? Oh yeah, 3-0, 2 wins @ the SBC Center! :biggrin2: Why are we even having a discussion about Horry? We both appreciate his game, so what are we arguing about?! Let's just forget about it.. When I said "the Spurs sneak away with the win" I just meant that it was a close game and the Spurs won on the road, sort of "sneaking" or "pulling" out with a win. Jeesh, take everything so seriously why don't ya?

So many to choose from, so select your picks carefully.
They should have won the first game, though. Similar to the Wolves and Pistons game, their were so many bad calls at decided that game. Anyway, just combating comments against Horry. I thought you saw it coming. Spurs have a great road record again this year, too. Did anyone hear Francis' comments after the game? He and Van Gundy going at it again, and he said "I'd take the shot again," too.
Well since you seem to like to bring up the past Allnet, how many titles have the Lakers won in the last couple years? Umm...let me count... 1...2....3...and counting baby!
Not quite as good as the 3, yes THREE CONSECUTIVE, that the Lakers won. And since you Sp*rs fans like to bring up the past, let us all remember back to the 2001 WCF. Can you spell sweep?! And as for the future, say your prayers and attend your church mettings San Antonio fans, because the Lakers are God's team..
Hahaha. Don't forget 1999-2000. I know you remember that egular season sweep, and that ass whoopin' in the playoffs. God's team... I'm an atheist.
It's always got to be about slamming the Lakers or proving me wrong, huh Allnet... Well, I am sick of it, and as a moderator, you should know better! Both L.A. and San Antone are good teams and it is a great rivalry, can we leave it at that because I am getting tired right now!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting twolvefan11:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm going to close this thread if it doesn't get back on track.</div> Tell that to fellow moderator Allnet. He is the one that started this whole argument after I gave the Spurs props. When will he ever stop? Can I post anything without him not being satisfied?!
