<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Coming off their worst loss of the season, the Los Angeles Clippers got a much-needed victory.after Los Angeles defeated Utah 101-90 on Wednesday. The Clippers will try to build on the win when they host the Southwest Division-leading San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center. Los Angeles hasn't had much success against San Antonio either, winning just three times in the last 26 meetings. The Spurs, who own the second-best record in the league, have won four straight, and eight of their last nine games. Tim Duncan had 19 points and nine rebounds and Tony Parker added 18 points as San Antonio coasted to a 114-80 win over Portland on Thursday. Duncan dominated the post as the Spurs outrebounded Portland 49-39 and outscored them 62-42 in the paint. </div> Preview No full preview, got some friends round tonight to celebrate the new year. With one eye on the game
It would be great if the Clippers could pull off an upset against the Spurs, but my biggest worries will be PG play for the Clippers on both ends, how will the Clips stop Parker, and can Brunson and Chalmers step it up in order to give us the edge? Brand vs Duncan will be a good matchup though, and it will be a nice game. Maggette vs Ginobili will also be nice, and we'll see if Bowen tries to take out Simmons lol
Last night was so obvious that Pop got ejected so that PJ could take the sidelines and proof his worth to the Nuggets who they are considering for the head coaching position. As for the game, 96-79 Spurs win..no real surprise. Another strong game from Parker with 21 and 11 assists. Barry got into double fiqures for the 2nd straight game, glad to see him playing better.
Well the Clippers tried, but all the injuries have killed the team again, the defense of Jaric and Livingston is really being missed, just looking at Parkers stat line you know how much it's missed. Rick Brunson tried, but he's not a starting PG in this league, and even Maggette who was playing is playing with a groin injury. I didn't really expect a win, but not a spanking, the Clippers need a PG quick, and maybe a new training staff.
