http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232692 I feel most of the spurs fans have been pretty civil. I have respect for their storied franchise, and the majority of their fans. I think it's funny that the op claims the mods are MIA. When realistically it's that we don't ban some one just for an opposite affiliation. Still hope this is a competitive series, and hope more spurs fans will come over and share their opinion on the series. Also Tlong you must have really pissed them off at some point.
Oh, I understand what you meant. I don't think many of us would feel it would be a good usage of our time to just go over to your forum and flame posters for their thoughts. I think the general thought around here is that we respect your franchise and wish to have the same extended success with our young group.
Oh noes! Trash talk? How will our hipster, soccer mom sensibilities ever be able to take the abuse of a DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW. Toughen up, Blazer fans.
Spurs fan here. Your going to get quite a few trolls sadly possibly some are real Spurs fans that just don't have a clue and newer fans that think trash talking is the thing to do. But for the most part Spurs fans are a pretty good fanbase. Good luck to you guys in game 2 looking forward to a great series. You have an amazing young team that I am sure is not going to be waving the white flag anytime soon.
You guys have an amazing team that did us the favor of introducing us to playoff-level basketball. I love what the Spurs did, although I hate they did it to our team. It was a tough pill to swallow, but we should take the lesson and apply it. Every fanbase has all kinds of people. I'm not a beat my chest kind of guy, but I certainly don't mind those kind of people in return when our team was so thoroughly dominated. Let's hope the Blazers can rise to the level of the Spurs' play and make this a competitive series.
Damn right we are. Our window is just opening. We're a year or two ahead of schedule. I'm not satisfied just to make it to the second round, but our future is bright. If we happen to lose this round, let's hope we take the same lesson that the Bulls learned from the Pistons in the late 80s/early 90s.
I would love to make it to the WCFs but it's all gravy to me at this point. There's something about SA that makes it impossible for me to hate them. I want them to lose to Portland but if they don't I want them to destroy OKC or the Clippers, I can't stand either one of those teams. I was bummed when they lost to Miami last season and, I admire them so much, part of me wants to see these guys get one more. ***Hoping this also works as a reverse jinx thread***
I want to grind the Spurs into bonemeal. If we cannot, however, then I will root for them to win the title. I love team ball over individual talent. The Spurs and the Blazers both play better team ball than anyone left in the playoffs.
Come one, come all I say. After that bare-assed, paddling the Spurs laid on the Blazers you guys are entitled to talk all the trash you want. My only hope is that most of it is clever, funny or witty.
Difference with our forum and theirs. We welcome opposing teams trash talk as long as there are no personal attacks or trolling. You do any opposing talk there and they go ape shit
I welcome trash talk because I love talking it when its my turn. Like when the peoples champ makes parker his bitch in game 2.
So what? The way they run their forum speaks volumes about them. We should be the bigger and better forum. Why lower ourselves to whining and crying for mods?
