Nesterovic made a short hook shot and came down on the foot of Suns forward Shawn Marion with 9:20 left in the first half. Nesterovic fell to the floor in pain and was helped from the court, unable to put any weight on the ankle. </div>

In the first game without Nesterovic, Tony Massenbug really stepped up. 16 points, 8 rebounds in 30 minutes. The Spurs beat the Kings 103 - 73. There aren't many teams that can lose their starting C the game before, travel to the Arco Arena and win by 30. Nesterovic is on the IL, and Sean Marks was activated. 8 points, 3 rebounds in 13 minutes from him. Going up against Tim Duncan in practise almost every day for 2 seasons has really helped him.

Rasho's defense and presents inside was missing against Portland, T-mass and Marks did a good job against the Kings but It wasn't likely they could keep that up.
