After Chris Paul hit a floater over the outstretched arm of Tim Duncan to knock the Spurs out of the first round of last season's playoffs, San Antonio headed into an offseason filled with questions. Would Duncan return for his 19th season or would he decide to retire? Similarly, would Manu Ginobili choose retirement over playing in his 14th season? How would the Spurs choose to re-tool in the offseason? All of these questions were answered in quick succession once free agency started in early July. The Spurs were able to recruit LaMarcus Aldridge, which immediately prompted Duncan to return and also helped convince Ginobili to re-sign for at least one more season. While Ginobili's relationship with Duncan, Tony Parker and the rest of the Spurs organization helped factor into his decision to return, his desire to keep playing was perhaps the biggest reason he decided to put off retirement. Aldridge choosing San Antonio in free agency also didn't hurt either. - See more at: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...not-retiring-i-wasnt-ready-to-be-an-ex-player
