<u>Udoka To Sign With Spurs</u> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Aug 13 - Ime Udoka, whose rise from the NBA Development League to NBA starter made him a fan favorite with the Trail Blazers, is poised to sign a multiyear contract with the reigning-champion San Antonio Spurs. Udoka's agent, Erin Cowan, told The Oregonian on Sunday that Udoka has made a commitment to the Spurs and hoped to have a deal finalized by Tuesday. Cowan would not reveal contract specifics, but sources have indicated that Udoka will sign a two-year deal worth more than $2 million. The second year could be a player option. -- The Oregonian </div> <div align="center"></div>
RealGM has a poll for him to be the heir to Bruce Bowen. What do Spurs fans think of that? Possible? or no way?
Possible. He's a better 3 point shooter and a solid defender. Not sure if he'll ever be as good as a defender, but he's very solid.
Udoka is a guy who can deliver. He is like P.A.P. said a good defender and 3 point shooter. I want him to be their next Bowen, with cleaner defense. But that is what make Bowen so amazing, his defense. As dirty as it may be, it works and he is a shut down guy. If I were to make a team, I would have him off the bench early and often. Back to Udoka, I expect big things from him. You can't play on the Spurs unless you play hard. Udoka will work his ass off and when they play Portland, burn them form 3 point land and play great defense on Roy or whoever.
Isiah actually discovered this guy and picked him up from the D-League. He's a nice addition considering his price tag. You got to love the Spurs for not making the flashy moves, but making moves that matter.
