There have been talks lately about the Spurs interests in Bob Sura (Pistons) and Charlie Ward (Knicks). Ron Mercer would most likely be sent in exchange. Which one do you guys think would be a better fit? Do you think they should just leave the team the way is is?
I agree charlie ward is a very good veteran, He has good knowledge and is a very good point guard, who can pass and hit the three, i think he could be good for our backup PG, Tony, Ron mercer is a good player, but i think charlie can help the teams in many ways, sura o the other hand canot hit threes, is inconsistent, and looks lost on the court, i tink he would hurt us, i'd much rather we fight for ward!
keep mercer...i honestly dont know why SA wants to get rid of him.He is instant offense , something the SPURS lack.He is a nice cushion to rely on when either Hedo , Bowen , or Manu are having bad games...or when our offense needs some help.He has bailed our offense out quite a few times...remember the 1st game of this streak against Orlando where he had like 8 straight pts. for the SPURS to start off the 4th qtr...I say keep #33 , or get someone more valuable...Sura and Ward are not in Mercer's league.
Yeah i understand what you mean, actually if we are going to trade him it will have to be for someone at his level!

It'd be wrong to do so at such a critical time anyway, players are just as important as coaches, if they get changed too often it might disrupt certain aspects of the team.
