Strange to see absolutely no activity in the forum for the champs... Anyway...since I was waiting for the Sonics opener on Wednesday the Spurs/Nuggets matchup was my first game of the season. Duncan: He kept the hair...how far into the season before he cuts it off? Barry: Changed the game for the Spurs within seconds of hitting the floor. He may be finally finding his way in Pop's system after a second training camp. Finley: The rest of the league just broke out in a cold sweat. If he plays like this off the bench all season....man, who will beat them? They have established the dominant inside play of Duncan, the deadly threat of penetration from Parker, the unpredictable insanity that is Ginobli, and now they have a catch a shoot three that can hit from anywhere on the floor? Their superb defense may stop being the thing this team is known for.... Nick: Nothing spectacular tonight, but he will hit more than his share of clutch shots this season, I am sure. Oberto: He's got a ways to go, we'll see how he is playing mid-season.
that shooting coach TP has seems to have done wonders. He looked real impressive. Was rather weird to see Bones kiss Stern when he got his ring. Fin was very impressive. Looks like he hasn't missed a beat from last year. What a 6th man he will be this year Nick had a few tradmark plays. His pull-up three and his little floater in the lane Spurs weren't at their best for the first 3 quarters but wore the Nuggets down in the 4th good start.
Spurs look very good to me once they get use to each other and everything Finley and Nick will be a great addition to the team.
