Revenge at last 97-80. Wire to wire win with lots of minutes for Pietrus although very limited touches. Actually the game was televised. It was on TNT. You didnt see it Rudeezy??

Pietrus looked really good tonight, he was all over the place tonight. He had trouble getting through screens though. The warriors need some changes on offense because they have very little movement at all, just a bunch of people standing there while Dunleavy dribbles until the clock is down to 10 they do something. Good win for the Warriors though.
I question Avery Johnson's ball handling sometimes. Most of the time he dribbles the ball down to 8 seconds then decides what to do, usually resulting in a TO. Man when I watch Pietrus play he always gets spilled. Haven't you guys noticed?? People shoving off on him or he falls down on hard screens. Maybe he can bulk up a bit more by next year 15 lbs of Troy Murphy muscled wouldn't hurt. That way people wont bulldoze him.
Warriors were 8/14 from the 3-point line. Dunleavy and J-Rich were 6/8. We can't count on this every night though. Pietrus hit a huge 3 to put the game away with a few minuts left when the Spurs got it into single digits.
Avery Johnson played better than he usually does though. But yea I saw that too in this game, but I think thats because the Warriors have no offensive sets that they run. I agree that Pietrus needs to bulk up a little, but not much more. Especially on the screens I think theirs just no communication from his teamates that theres a screen so he's seems to be running into them blindly
Great game by the Warriors, I hoped that they'd play well on national TV and all. Can I get a 1 game winning streak up in here?! HELL YEAH
Its about time they got a W. Maybe Petrius' comments helped spur a good effort. Then again, you cant be too happy since Tim Duncan did not play.

With that said, they wont go anywhere in the playoffs without TD.
Warriors split season series <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Jason Richardson scored 22 points and the Golden State Warriors snapped a season-long nine-game losing streak with a 97-80 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Tony Parker had 29 points, five rebounds and six assists for the cold-shooting Spurs, who again struggled without center Tim Duncan. He missed his second straight game and ninth in 10 because of irritation in his left knee. San Antonio is 5-4 without the two-time league MVP, who's averaging 22.9 points and 12.8 rebounds per game. Mike Dunleavy added 19 points and Erick Dampier 16 and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, who hadn't won since point guard Speedy Claxton broke his right hand Feb. 27. The Warriors split the season series with the reigning NBA champions and swept them in Oakland for the first time since the 1996-97 season.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=240315009
After watching Dunleavy play, I just don't think that he can be a superstar in this league or a player that is going to have a huge impact in games. I see him more as a role player. I just don't feel that when I watch him play.

I think he will be a VERY good role player.

Dunleavy goes 7/13 with 3/3 from the 3 point line, 4 assists, 3 TO and guys still rag on him. Unbelievable. And this was against the Spurs, the defending champions. How many guys in the past 3 drafts become superstars? A very good role player will be fine. He can dominate without being a 25 ppg scorer by doing all of the little things. I loved seeing Murphy gobble up boards. He's just so solid on the glass. I don't care if JRich had 22, I will criticize his D. Somehow he gets lost and just lets Ginobili walk in for layups. How is that possible? Pietrus, definitely the revelation of the game. Him on PG on D and Dunleavy at PG has a nice ring although not with Speedy back. If they are going to put Dunleavy at PG, he's got to take it to the rack (or make an aggressive move) at least a couple of times if they are going to press him.

I'm ok with that. Its just that I just don't envision him becoming a superstar type player later. He does a lot of good things but I don't see that fire in him that makes him want to be great when he plays. You can see that in players like Lebron and Carmelo, that they want to be the best, I don't see that in Dunleavy.
