<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The San Antonio Spurs are peaking at just the right time, with two games left before they attempt to defend their NBA championship. Tim Duncan scored 18 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Spurs over the Los Angeles Clippers 88-79 Sunday night for their season-high ninth straight victory. The Spurs are tied with Sacramento for second place in the Western Conference, one game behind Midwest Division rival Minnesota and a game ahead of the Lakers with two games left in the regular season. "We're going to finish the season on a high note and we're trying to play as well as possible going into the playoffs," Duncan said after coming within one rebound of his 400th career double-double. "You don't want to lose one of these last two games and have some doubts in your mind, so we want to stay as confident as we are now."</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=240411012 As I have stated before, I think the Spurs are still the team to beat and they will defend their title and repeat. They have all the keys to winning another championship.
Like every year, the Spurs are in a great moment when playoffs are near. Kings and Timberwolves are above us, one game difference, impossible is nothing, but ?t?s difficult, I see Minnesota very strong. In playoffs Spurs can win to any team, but I don?t want to play against Memphis, I like them.
Spurs now have 10 straight and looking primed for the playoffs. The spurs will settle for the 3rd seed, theres noway i see the Wolves losing to the grizz especially with bonzi and gasol sittin out.
