I was noticing that the division winning Bears are the only team in the division not sporting a shiny new head coach this year.

Lions and Vikings were long overdue for a coaching change, I think. The Packers firing Sherman still baffles me, though.

because apparently when you have one bad season TT thinks you should be fired, so if Mike McArthy has a losing season next year we can expect him to be gone i guess?

Firing Sherman doesn't really baffle me. I new it was coming and I'm not suprise. As good as Sherman did, he still failed at winning a championship, with a team that was a Super Bowl caliber team when he inherited it.

What baffles me is McCarthy over Bates. I'm having trouble getting over that.

Another thing that troubles me. Bates was my #1 of course and Kirk Ferenitz (from Iowa) was my #2. TT really wanted to interview him too and from what I heard, really like his coaching style etc... Ferenitz never interviewed, he pulled out of any Head Coaching jobs and signed an extension with Iowa.

This is a bit off of the subject, but I watched the documentary "Favre 4ever" on the NFL channel today. I thought it was really well done. Any of you Cheeseheads seen that one? What did you think of it?

They actually first aired it the day of the Vikings/Packers Christmas Eve game two years ago. It was on Fox on at least in this area. I thought it was nice as well. Seeing the playback of the Raiders game and the Super Bowl is worth it as well. I like the commentry as well.

Same could be said for Wanny. The phins had talent but got worse each year of the Vanilla era.

In the AFCE, there are 2 new coaches. While Mangini is young, he is & will end up being the better hire. Dick Jauron continued Wanny's ineptitude in Chicago IMO. Buffalo will improve only because Spikes will be healthy.

Other than last year, Sherman IMO did a good job of maintaining the status quo i.e. The Pack it seemed was always in contention for the division title.

But they did recently have a change within the past few years.

The change in Minny was coming for a while (even though I still do not support it), but I don't understand the Sherman move. The Packers have played beyond their talent the past few years, IMO. I don't think they failed to win a championship because of the coaching, but rather the talent level.

Losing Bates still bothers me after what he did last year was the best coaching since Holmgren. BTW the Favre4ever show was enough to bring a teer to my eye but only the first 7 times I watched it. This could be one of the most unpredicable years for the north in a long time
