    No. 7-seeded Sergiy Stakhovsky rallied for a three-set victory Monday in first-round action of the Malaysian Open tennis tournament.

    Stakhovsky got past Michael Russell 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 after staving off a pair of match points. The match, in which both players won 102 points, lasted 2 hours, 47 minutes.
