Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that import offensive linemen Sam Allen and Edwin Harrison have signed contracts with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. "I was pleased with what I saw from both of these young men at our tryout in Florida," said Hufnagel. "I look forward to seeing what they bring to the table in training camp." Allen joins the Stamps following a brief stint with the San Diego Chargers in 2009. The six-foot-five, 300-pounder was a three-year starter with the Grand Valley State Lakers. He was a first-team Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference all-star as a senior in 2008 and an honourable mention in 2007. Allen and the Lakers won national Division II championships in 2005 and 2006. Harrison spent 2008 and part of 2009 on the Kansas City Chiefs practice roster. Prior to signing with Kansas City, the six-foot-four, 305-pound lineman played four seasons at the University of Colorado. He made a total of 29 starts and was an honourabe mention on the All-Big 12 team in 2007. Stamps 2010 season tickets are available now.
