Miami was in a similar position two years ago, opening the season 0-7, before making it as far as the second round of the playoffs. ``It was difficult to go through,'' said Van Gundy. ``People tend, especially fans, to overreact to what happens early because that's all they have to go on. ``I obviously don't know the team here,'' Van Gundy said of Toronto, ``but I know they're young, I know they're offensively extremely talented. . . We will rebound, no doubt, but I don't see us making the playoffs. The East is too good, and we're too young and inconsistent. Anyway, I'd rather have a top 4 pick next year then almost make the playoffs.
I hope the Raps will have a cinderalla year...for me, I'd rather see the Raps make the playoffs, even if it means not getting the good draft spot. I think they can do just that...if they can play like this all the time (probably not) then they are as talented as any other team in the East.
