If Rudy plays tonight what about starting Roy at PG? I'm not sure I like it but something to consider.

It's time for Sergio to shit or get off the pot; so I say no. Let Sergio finally do what he's supposed to do. This is a win win for everyone.

First off- the team will find out what he has to offer, play him 30+ minutes
secon off- maris will stop posting threads about him :)

Doesnt sound like Rudy will play, but I'd like to see him try to D up D.Harris.

Fine, Roy is the PG, who is the SG then? You are still left with Bayless or Sergio.

I'm not sure I've ever seen Sergio play well next to Brandon. Sergio needs the ball, and so does Brandon. It's a bad fit.

Wouldn't it be nice to have Martell back?

Another option is starting Roy at PG and Bayless at SG. This allows Roy and Bayless to switch off on Harris. It also takes some of the pressure off of Bayless by starting him at the SG position. I'm sure Sergio will start I'm just throwing options out there.

I agree. Last night, when those two were on the floor, Sergio kept handing the ball off to Brandon for him to bring up, and I was just thinking this isn't good for Sergio. He's not like Blake where he can just stand in the corner and spot up for 3.

And plus Sergio doesn't even look for his shot anymore or has no confidence in it. He took that 24-second violation and then threw up a shot that hit the side of the backboard.

What? Like Roy isn't ever the point guard? Give me a break. It may say PG on Steve Blakes postion, but we all know who runs the show.

I agree with this. If he does play well, hopefully we get a W and he earns his backup PG spot back. If he sucks, maybe he will quit pouting if he doesn't get PT?

I really, really, really hope he does well (if he starts). I simply cannot vote against anybody on the Blazer team. This board gets split up with player bias, imo... some seem to be bigger fans of certain players than the team.

The thing I worry about w/ Sergio is that he simply cannot play with Roy. His game is very frustrating to watch, because he always over dribbles and cannot play off the ball. He will get the pass and stop the ball movement... dribble to the middle of the key and wait while noone moves... then he will force up a bad shot or give it to someone with a couple seconds left... either someone else's turnover, or an assist for him, or a missed shot. I think his overdribbling and awareness of time are things that need to be corrected before he starts correcting his shooting and defense, tbh.

But maybe the starting spot will actually help him. Maybe starting and playing with Oden, Roy and Aldridge will cause more ball movement and less dribbling. I used to think Bayless would be a better option, but his inability to hit an outside shot really hurts the team a lot and allows his man to help off of him. So then its basically Jerryd's D vs Sergio's passing.

Ahhh... either way I hope they both play well and we win. This situation has been going over in my head since last night and I still don't know what to do. I'm all in favor of givin' sergio a shot though.

So we start Sergio and he misses his first five shots... then what? The guy can't hit the ocean from the shore. Stevie Wonder shoots a better percentage.

I want to see Bayless start because I want to know if this kid is the future. Does he have what it takes? I think most of us know that Sergio isn't the future of this team, so why kid ourselves? Let's throw Bayless into the fire and see if he walks out?
