Matt Diaz and Willie Harris have been platooning in left field for the entire season so far. Willie is a legit leadoff guy and probably our best, but has been in a massive slump lately and I don't think Matt Diaz has ever been in a slump. The kid can flat out hit. Willie is a little better defensive player but Diaz has been better at the plate. Do you like the way that we have platooned them? Willie against righties and Diaz vs. lefties or would you rather see either more?
hm...personally, i'd rather have willie in CF and diaz in LF. because, ya know, andruw sucks this year.</p> and matt diaz was in a slump last series (althought he didn't get much of a chance).</p> i'd say that i actually like the way they do it right now. as long as both players play a role in every game, i don't mind how they use them. and i wouldn't mind at all if they ended up putting in harris/diaz for andruw, since he's been in a season-long slump. </p>
