Carlos Arroyo, played really well at the Olympic qualifying tournament. Lopez has had a year off and will be rusty. He'll get more minutes as the season goes on though. Mo Williams wont get many at all, he'll get 5 mins max per game and be the 3rd option. They may reign Mark Jackson just for this year.
But whoever starts, there will be a HUGE hole left by Stockton retiring, he was still a top 5 PG in the NBA at age 41. Just look at his numbers, for example 1st in NBA in assists per 48 mins. He didn't score that many, but scoring has never being his thing. There wont be another Sotckton and Utah are really gonna miss him.
Pg Tmac15 I believe Carlos Arroyo will eventually start at the one for Utah, even if they get to keep Terry. He is a young, talented, intelligent player and now ready to assume the role full time. He will surprise you guys with his poise and fearlessness. Jazz fans will be pleased with him even though the Jazz are in for a long year. I noticed that your favorite teams are Utah and New Jersey. Are you Scott Layden?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">If Arroyo starts he is the worst starting point guard in the league easily.</div> What makes you say that? have you seen him play? He is the same player who pretty much schooled Jason Kidd on a couple of plays and did well against him...He also held his own against Steve Nash ....He also led his team in the Olympics...which takes some going....He is a pretty good player....At least watch him play or check how well he did before making a statement like that...

I watched him against Nash to. <font color="Green"><font size="1">..// Congrats, you get my first edit... No personal attacks... purehoops</font></font>
You can't judge him on just his rookie year....He has improved since then..and showed he can play against the best..He led PR to the Olympics..which is more Steve Nash could do...Canada didn't even get in..
You may be right..but your comment seemed so damn cocky as if he can't play..when thats not the case........He is young and will likely take a full season to play to his talents....So he might well be the worst starting PG in the league or should I say a guy with less experience.......He is a good talent...but You made it sound like he was a bad player thats all... Oh and another thing..watch your language....
Arroyo <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">If Arroyo starts he is the worst starting point guard in the league easily.</div> You're just upset because he help oust Canada from the Olympics. Yes, he's improved since his rookie year. To answer your question, he's as good as anyone who will start this year for New York, Atlanta, Boston, Memphis, Miami, Orlando, Seattle, and Toronto. Yeah, you can try to debate about some of the guys on those teams, but none of them would have a sizable edge over Arroyo.
Deshawn Stevenson talked about playing the point at the start after we lost Stock, he was serious because he plays PG for the Jazz at Summer Leagues and has played it before. Maybe he would be better at PG. I'd prefer him at SG though.
