Another victory for the Steelers as they go 2-0 for the season. Ben Roethlisberger threw 21 passes and completed 14 for 66 %. He threw for 254 passing yards and 2 touchdowns also. And he had a passer rating of about 140. Willie Parker ran for 100(111) yards for the second time in a row, 3rd if you go back to the bills game. He also ran one in for a touchdown. Hines Ward had 6 receptions and 84 receiving yards. He also caught 2 receiving touchdowns. Cedric Wilson also chipped in, in the passing game, he caught 2 deep passes ( 40,36 ). Randle El caught a few passes too, 3 of them, for 75 yards... including a deep 54 yard pass on star 2nd year corner Dunta Robinson.On Defense they held Carr to just 167 passing yards. However, the Texans had 113 rushing yards ( Carr with 46 ). Overall they held the Texans to just 280 total yards. Troy Polamalu had 3 sacks, which tied all the sacks he had in his career before today. Also Clark Haggans forced a fumble(carr) and Joey Porter picked it up. The Steelers didn't turnover the ball all game, and only punted once. On Special Teams Jeff Reed made 2 field goals ( 37,35 ) and 3 extra points. Ike Taylor got 19 yards on the teams only kickoff return. And Randle El had 10 yards (16 long) on 2 punt returns. On to the Patriots...
steelaz look like a SB calibur team so far, and parker looks like he could beat out staley and bettis as the better, younger backpats lost to the panthers today so that shouldnt be too hard of a game for the steelers to win
so they played roethlisberger i see.I wasnt sure if he was going to play.i think they wouldn't of had that high of a score if roethlisberger was playing.
Don't get too caried away they beat the Titans and Texans both young not good teams. It's going to be a good game against the Pats, I don't know if the Pats will come out popin after losing or come out looking like they did this afternoon. But I will say, Willie Parker won't have 80 + yards in this game win or lose.
I don't know, Big Ben and Parker and the rest of the Steelers seem unstoppable right now, looks like this might go into OT.
