The Steelers beasted the Titans 34-7. It started 7-0, Titans up. Then after that, it was downhill. Steelers had 34 unanswered points. And for all you who doubted Ben, Sophomore Slump what? Huh? How about a Perfect game. 158.3, the best you can get. 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and 218 passing yards. He had the first perfect passer rating since Trent Green in 03. He's not going to do worse, try better. And how about Willie Parker; 161 rushing yards in just 22 rushes, 48 receiving yards in one receptions, 1 rushing touchdowns, and a long 45 yard run. How does him starting the rest of the season sound...Heath Miller scored a touchdown, it was his only reception, but he scored. He'll be a redzone threat for sure. Randle El came back off his preseason drops and got a 63 yard receiving touchdown. Ward and Wilson both had 2 receptions and a couple yards. Even Tuman had a 27 yard catch. On defense they dominated. McNair and Volek both threw an interception. Polamalu caught one, and Ricardo Coclough caught his 1st NFL interception. I was surprised how much they let Chris Brown do, but at least they didn't let the Titans get over 100 Total Rushing yards. We made McNair fumble 3 times and Henry 1 time. Farrior and Porter both forced a fumble. Ike Taylor and Chris Hope both recovered a fumble. The Steelers are as good as last season. They won't go 15 - 1 again, or will they. But for you doubters and haters, wus up.

Im not doubting the Steelers but there facing the Titans who are a rebuilding defense and are regrouping, losing Rolle and Schutlters who were key players in their defense. Pacman and Bulluck cant lead the whole D.

Meh, Pacman ain't no leader. He's like nickleback right now...Schulters was a 2nd string.Tank Williams is coming back from missing half the season, he's a young, star safety.Lamont Thompson is a great safety too. ( 64 tackles and 4 pics in 04 )Peter Sirmon didn't play at all last season, he's coming off an ACL injury. In 03 he had almost 90 tackles.Brad Kassell had 101 tackles last season.Haynesworth is young, only played 10 games last season. He had 2 forced fumbles and near 40 tackles in them 10 games. Randy Starks is injured right now, but he's tied as the youngest player in the league. He had 5 sacks last season, rookie year....And I bet you didn't know that the Titans have the youngest team in the league, they'll grow...

Exactly, they dont have the experience yet to take on a Steeler offense, and yes they will grow but they cant get all their progression throughout only one game. Its my whole point

Most of the young people are NOT rookies, they have had they're time to grow. They can play already. And I said it because with youth, comes speed. So they have a bunch of fast wild guys on their team. And it's not like their average is 23 years old. They are on average 26, which is not bad. That's around a players Prime. And many people on their defense were injured last season. Some for the whole season. The ones with the big injuries were key players; Tank, Sirmon....

Ward don't get to excited like His Greatness said they are rebuilding. There probably going to have pick 1 in the draft. The Steelers should beat up on teams like that. Willie Parker look good though from what I heard.

I'm not saying they are the best defense. I'm just saying they are not Horrible. I'm just trying to defend Ben Roethlisberger. I mean, no team is that bad where you can have a perfect rating, then play any other team and do bad or not near good. Same for Willie Parker, he's a monster. Just because it was the Bills doesn't change anything. He did near the same against the Bills when they were fighting for a playoff spot... And the Bills are a TOP defense. All 32 teams are NFL teams, they are all good. Any team, can win any game, at any time. There's no such thing as a bad nfl team.

So when you win 4 games out of 16 your a good football team? This is a sport and in every sport and league from Pop Warner, HS, College to Pro's there are teams that sucks and teams that are amazing. That's a funny comment though, made me laugh [IMG]

You can win 0 games and not be bad. Do you think you can rustle up 53 random guys to beat the worst record team in the NFL, HELL NO...Every single player in the NFL and every single team in the NFL is good. You got millions of people who can't play for a team. They are Elite. They are all good, just some are not better than others, do you get what i'm saying now?

There is always a bad and good team no matter what players are on each team. This is a sport and in sports there are meant for teams to be the best (Pats) and worst (Titans) and so on...

So if an All Pro team with all star players lost more games then they won, then that means there a bad team? No.

Huh, what are yall talking about. I'm just saying that every football player is good, otherwise they wouldn't make it to the NFL. Yall are using it in a different sense.

Not like beating the Pats or anything, but after a dim looking preseason, theres no way a Steelers fan can be mad. Next is the Texans, and I'm looking for the same type of performance from the Steelers offense, because the Houston D is nothing special.

Texans have one of the worst defenses... only noticables are both corners ( Philip and Dunta ). BTW: Willie Parker was named AFC offensive player of the week and leads the league in rushing. And not about the steelers but, AFC defensive player of the week plays for the Colts... [IMG] ( gary brackett )

I was hoping the Titans would get the upset here, but the Steelers just went out and took care of bisnuess. They knew this was their game, and they got it, it nice fashon, what a pounding.
