After an 8-2 demolition of the Boston Bruins Thursday, there was plenty of opportunity to at least pat himself on the back. In the last 10 games, with Steen alongside Mats Sundin and Nik Antropov on the top line, the unit has been among the best in the NHL with 29 points. Steen's night was a tour de force in which he produced three of the line's eight points. "I don't think my game has changed much," Steen said modestly as the Leafs took a light practice yesterday to prepare for the New Jersey Devils tonight at the Air Canada Centre. Modesty aside, Steen's game has in fact changed dramatically. Playing with Sundin over the past several weeks has allowed creativity to creep back into his game, something he possesses in spades, but hasn't always been allowed to show in Toronto. That was evident last season, his second in the league. The 18 goals and 45 points he'd scored as a rookie spurred talk of Steen as a future captain.
