He won't be moved if they think they're getting a lottery pick or a high-end power forward.

 

I don't see a team that makes sense that can give them what they want at all. Maybe Charlotte takes him for one of our or Detroit's picks? What lottery team is going to give it up for Asik? And what team with a high end PF doesn't want to fit said player alongside Asik instead of swapping them out.

 

Let's trade Aldridge for Asik.

 

I have said this before, Morey's asking price is a pie in the sky joke, time for a reality check if he really wants to move Asik by the 19th, and when other teams know you are motivated to move a player U ain't gonna get what you think

 

Such a shame Thomas Robinson came from Houston. He's exactly the kind of guy I'd like to trade for him.

Also a shame that we haven't been able to see CJ play for us. He might be a more viable trade chip if there weren't so many unknowns.

 

It's a supply and demand thing, I guess. If I were a fan of Houston, I'm happy right now. I'd be pissed as hell if they just shipped out Asik on the first deal that came around. (See how the Lakers pilfered Pau, or later almost got Chris Paul.) The Rockets GM is holding out as long as he can as publicly as he can, which is smart IMO.

But yeah, there comes a point where you have to trade Asik or the asset starts dropping drastically in value. Whatever happens with Asik, I'm sure there will be lots of comparisons with what we could have offered.

 

IMO Asik's value has already dropped quite a bit since summer when they should have moved him IMO, now with an added "deadline" the value he returns falls more IMO

 

Plus all the malcontent stuff, and sitting out games and pouting. That all hurts his value.

 

I hope asik goes to a shitty fucking team like Charlotte. Or better yet, how about Milwaukee?

The pouting and quitting on his team bothers me because I see it the as the same kind of whiny, entitled bullshit that Rudy pulled when he was here. On the other hand he's got some talent and this team needs some more of it, if it's serious about going all-in for a playoff run.

 

The problem is, with Lopez we could see the same problems with Asik if he were brought in. His free throw shooting is a real problem, which could have him on the bench at the end of games. We definitely don't need that kind of attitude on this team.

 

all depends how cheap he is, if Olshey could pick him up cheap you give it a shot, if not no problemo

 

None of the rumors indicate that Houston is willing to part with him for cheap.
