I doubt the veracity of any speculation that the Warriors would trade him for any less than a king's ransom.

I like Steph Curry, but I'm not sure he's a point guard. He can really stroke it though. I wouldn't give up Aldridge, Batum, Oden, Matthews, or Camby. Anyone else is negotiable.

So basically, you wouldn't give up anything they'd want.

    Nice.

Basically. I would probably consider trading Camby though. None of the others.

Then you haven't been paying attention then. It hit the news last week that they had dangled him a few times. I even saw an interview with him where he talked about it. Golden State wants a legit big and they are willing to move one of their guards to get it.

Yep, but that doesn't really matter for us, since he specifically said, "If we were offered a great situation." I don't think we have anything (short of LA, who's not going anywhere) that would qualify.

ESPN and other news outlets reached pretty far in their reports. The Lacob interviews are in writing from various GSW beat writers and thats where the info came from. I don't think he ever said he was "dangled" or anything like that, he was implying more that he could be moved in the right deal i.e. no ones untouchable right now. Also IIRC he made it fairly clear that it would have to be for a pretty damn good player coming back. When the ESPNs and other national media outlets asked Stephen they phrased it as though Lacob said he could be moved at any time and Steph reacted to that (I don't think he read the original transcripts).

As a GSW fan though IMO Curry is far and away the most untouchable piece. Monta isn't even close in fact, most fans are very willing to let him go because, although hes turning into a hell of a player, he'll probably never make his teammates better and he'll never work defensively. His value is at an all time high and I'm sure the national media would ride us but IMO we're better off letting Curry run the team and adding pieces that can play defense. Curry/Monta/Lee as your core pieces is doomed to failure because of the defense. I'd move Monta for Iguodala for example.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Yes, one of their guards. Like the one who's older and not as good--Monta Ellis.

I'm sure they'd give up Curry if they were getting back someone like Griffin or Howard. Short of big-time talent like that (which they couldn't get), I doubt there's any serious interest on Golden State's part in trading Curry.

    exaaaaactly.

Why trade Curry when you can get good pieces for someone like Monta Ellis whom the Warriors fans wanted gone anyways.

I think Curry is about as much of a PG as there is. The guy is a great playmaker. I was skeptical when he was coming out of college and thought he was just a shooter. But, his passing ability is what makes him a good player.

not saying curry would be worth what they are asking, but ive heard multiple times that they are trying to move steph and keep monte. espn talking heads have been saying exactly that.
