Did anyone see the excerpt on the Heat working a S&T for Steve Blake? I'll try and get a link up soon or if someone wants to put one up go ahead.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Heat and Washington Wizards have held preliminary discussions about a sign-and-trade for Wizards restricted free agent point guard Steve Blake.

Such a scenario would eliminate the need for Miami to wait a week to see if the Wizards would match a Heat offer. Miami could slot Blake into a $1.9 million trade exception acquired last season in a deal with Charlotte.

But the teams have not agreed to a deal, and the Heat continues to consider other backup point guard options, including free agent Gary Payton.</div>

The article suggests the Heat have their trade exception but I'm pretty sure we used it up in the Walker trade.

I know we're definetly trying to trade Michael Doleac. But do the Wizards need a backup big?

    Maybe another team is involved.
