<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I thought we were really building something, something very good in Houston," Francis said. "Obviously that's not the direction they want to go. I still think we could be a very good team. "I'm not crying. Like I told you before, I know this is a business. Things like that happen. I'm not mad. I'm not upset. This is what they're trying to do. But like I said, I still think we could be something." Francis would not comment about going to the Magic, but Fried said Francis was not happy about playing for the Magic in an obvious rebuilding situation. "Steve's preference is to not go to Orlando," Fried said. "Steve's tasted the playoffs. (The Rockets) got a series under their belts. He was looking forward to going further with the same Rockets team but with another year of experience together. This is certainly not his preference. He loves Houston. </div> Link
Obviously, Houston is doing this because they think they can be a better team with T-Mac rather than Francis. If not and I highly doubt it, everyone's going to look back and realize how big of a mistake they made by trading Francis, who would of probably made them more successful. I think players should have an option to decide if they should stay or not. Oh yeah. TRACY SAID HE DIDN'T WANT TO STAY WITH THE MAGIC AS HE'S FORCING A TRADE. FRANCIS SAYS HE DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE BUT HE HAS NO POWER TO DECIDE TO STAY. Has everyone noticed that yet? Speaking of differentials in power of players...Totally unfair. I think Francis should make the decision and I personally think he should stay, and I'm sure other people who don't think of the "Wowwww, Yao and Tracy on the same team" imagination agrees too.

Francis shouldn't feel so bad, he could turn this team around in a second, remember Magic went from playoffs to 21-61, they can easily flip the situation around for next year. Also, East is unpredictable.. you gotta love it.
I feel bad for francis, but the magic imo is a good orginization and the perfect place for him. Last season was a bad year. With him and mobely here along with howard or okafor we can easily turn things around. Grant hill may come back and plays healthy and he has said this is his last try so if he doesnt play well and hurts himself he will opt out of his deal next off season and retire. Allowing us to either have hill a player that was prejected to be the next MJ before the injuries or have a lot of cap room from his huge contract coming off our team salary . We also do have a very high 2nd round pick so we could take a dalanti west in the second round. That would make us a very athletic team.
