Veteran safety Steve Gregory, who played six seasons with the San Diego Chargers and the last two with the New England Patriots, announced his retirement on Saturday. The 31-year-old Gregory, who was released by the Patriots on Feb. 28, had signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on July 31.
