Steve Kerr finally acknowledged that he will be in discussions to become the next head coach of the New York Knicks.

Mike Woodson was fired by the Knicks on Monday.

"I do anticipate talking with Phil Jackson at some point. When that time comes, it will come," Kerr said. "For now, there's really not a whole lot to talk about."

Kerr played for Jackson with the Chicago Bulls.
