Kerr had long been expected to eventually reach a deal with the New York Knicks. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports the deal is for $25 million over five seasons. Kerr will have a more established roster to work with as head coach of the Warriors, plus he gets to remain on the West Coast. Kerr has been a broadcaster with TNT since leaving his post as general manager of the Phoenix Suns. Kerr replaces Mark Jackson, who was signed in 2011 on a three-year, $6 million deal that contained a team option for a fourth year. "We love Kerr. Incredibly prepared. We got him because of our players. The Golden State Warriors' future is bright," Joe Lacob said in a text message to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
