I take Kidd because he can actually play defense...

Yeah Steve Nash plays defense about as well as the Detroit Lions.

I debated this about 3 times in this last season so I'll just say Nash and leave with that.

righ now its Nash of course, but career wise its Jason, but if Steve continues to play the same way just for a few more seasons, I will go with Nash.

Jason Kidd career-wise because he gave you rebounds, assists, and above all, defense. Right now Steve Nash is amazing with the Suns.

Jason Kidd. He's better all-around. He's just as good of a passer as Nash, but he can play defense, and rebound. He's a triple-double machine. Yes, Nash has MVP awards, but Kidd has made the Finals with a less talented team than Nash's Suns.

Nash has lost to the best teams 3-4 times just like Kidd did twice. If he was in the East he also would've made it to the Finals and lost to the best team. I don't think Kidd has ever won even 1 series in the West in his entire career. The only time the Suns moved on was when he was injured and KJ came back from retirement. Nash is also a much, much better shooter/scorer than Kidd and also a better clutch player while Kidd throws up bricks in crunch time and relies on Vince to win it for them. Even with his passing and defense Kidd really pissed me off at the end of games. That's why I overrate Marbury sometimes, because when we got him we actually had someone who won us games in the end even though Kidd was better. Nash has won the MVP's while Kidd hasn't even been in the discussion for even top 10. He has been better recently, but yeah I'd put Kidd ahead of him all-time until Nash can win a championship and can keep this up for 2 or 3 more years. Oh no, I've been sucked in.But yeah, my point was...you can't use Kidd's appearances in the Finals at all. Nash has been a better player in the playoffs.

And, it was a very close second. Many thought he should have won the MVP award.

I meant recently while Nash is doing this. I did say Kidd has been the better point guard all time for a reason. Nash still has a ways to go before I'd put him over kidd on the all-time PG list.

Nash is in his prime while Kidd is falling away a little bit.

And he had a few 50+ win teams too right? They had some 4 seed teams that couldn't get out of the first round.

I feel Kidd is the better all-around player, but I'd still take Nash. I don't really care if my point guard defends. I want him to run my offense. Nobody does that better than Nash.

Guess it says something about the personality you have to have to root for Kobe.
