Yesterday's win was great. It felt awesome beating the Celtics on Christmas, just a great game altogether. But like many have mentioned, we still haven't proven anything yet. We beat Boston at home? Great. We did well at home against them in the Finals. We beat them twice, and if it wasn't for the biggest choke job in NBA history, we probably would've run away with Game 4.

Bottom line is, great win, but I hope the guys don't get complacent. The NBA Championship goes through the Boston Celtics, and if we're going to win a championship, we're gonna have to beat them on the road (yes I am assuming it will be Celtics/Lakers rematch). So, like Kobe said, yesterday's game was just a measuring stick. We measured ourselves against the best team in the NBA, and we passed. I think we showed to ourselves that they are beatable, just like every other team in the NBA, and I'm sure our guys gained a lot of confidence after the win.

But just note, we still haven't beaten them in Boston. That test will come later on in the year, and we'll see what happens. In the mean time, the team has to keep working and keep improving. The season is young, and we all know the Celtics will be fired up after this loss. They will continue to work harder and push themselves, and we must do the same.

I feel optimistic about the win yesterday, but championships aren't won in December. There's still plenty of basketball left to play, and plenty of opportunities to improve, for both teams.

To win the championship, the Lakers may have to beat the Cavaliers.

I fear more the Cavaliers than the Celtics.

Am I the only one not sold on the Cavs? They haven't beaten anyone worthwhile and their schedule strength is pretty weak last I knew. I think they're the most overrated team in the NBA, even if they have improved this year. I want to see them beat someone worthwhile before I'm sold on them.

As for us, I agree that it was a great win, but I also want to see how we can perform on their court before I'm completely sold. However, with them losing to the Warriors tonight, it leaves me to wonder about the Celtics as well. Losing to us is one thing...but losing to the lowly Warriors who are still playing without their best player, that's another thing.

On a side note... The next time we play boston, we play them @ Boston then we play the Cavs @ cleveland the following night (on a back to back i think)... Now that will be the real test!
