Stokes 2 - Man 1 Manchester United was defeated by Stokes for the first time ever in the EPL. The only MU player to score was Van Persie. Stokes got their first goal near the end of the first half when taking a free kick that bounced off an MU defender, deflecting it past De Gea into the goal.
Stoke City beat Manchester United for the first time in the Barclays Premier League thanks to two goals from Charlie Adam. In a first half largely dominated by the visitors, Stoke went ahead after 38 minutes thanks to a deflected Adam free-kick, which hit United's Michael Carrick on the edge of the area and flew beyond the reach of David de Gea. Robin van Persie equalised two minutes after half-time but Adam earned the Potters' first win over United since 1984 with an unstoppable effort from outside the area after 52 minutes. It sealed United's eighth league defeat of the season and their third straight loss on the road in all competitions. see more http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/matches/2013-2014/epl.html/stoke-vs-man-utd
