DAT says 40 points on Stanford and they use it as bulletin board material in Palo Alto. Stanford needed no more motivation and DAT did very little in that game but fumble and get worked.

Now both DAT and Huff are showing their disappointment about not being in the national championship and 75% of me values their honesty and pain but damn guys OHIO ST. is no slouch as history has proven! Use a little media discretion! Urban is a coach that will use every trick in the book to get a win and foster motivation. Away from that, the young guys look up to them for leadership. This type of mood is not the WIN THE DAY attitude Oregon preaches!

What this says to me is DAT is good as gone and HUFF is graduating so the loss to Stanford was the mental let go of the season for both of them.

To be honest I'm a little disappointed in their attitudes "publicly" and as "MEN OF OREGON!" I really hope this mental apathy doesn't show its head on the field in the next two weeks.

It remains to be seen if DAT or MM leaves. I can think of good reasons to and not to. Either way we'll survive.

As to DAT talkin' trash before the game, certainly NOT the thing to do but I doubt it played a factor in the game.

some media person goes fishing with a loaded question and then the dumb 20 year old jock doesn't answer it like a seasoned politician... and I'm supposed to be surprised?

someone is bored and wants to be outraged

Fair enough, but should we stumble from here to post Rose Bowl the media will chew on our "perceived arrogance" far more than our points spread wins!

Case in hand Marcus three weeks ago was the Heisman front runner, now his big defeat of all of 6 points has made him irrelevant. Meanwhile we've got a guy under suspicion for sexual battery and another candidate that picks fights at rivals schools on his free time when he's not double clutching mommy and daddy's checkbook.

I think Marcus comes back, but DAT I think is gone. We'll see!

and I'm supposed to care because why exactly? I know the national media doesn't favor the Great Northwest, thats not a news flash. Our sports teams winning = national ratings bummer. The way the country filled up, no one but the relatively small fraction of people who live in the NW root for NW teams.

Even when the Blazers and Ducks are rolling it's pretty obvious that thats not what the networks want. I expect the trashy tear em down pieces like this probably because I've seen so many of them. Whatever

I hate that players can't be open and honest about how they feel. As someone who has conducted many interviews with athletes, I can say that it's truly sad that they have to be guarded and careful about what they say. That's why it's so much fun when you come across an old veteran who doesn't give a shit anymore. They'll actually tell you what they think.

The media loves and hates ya in the same day to often! When opinion becomes fact, and fact is never truly reported, we get what we have today! The fucking Star or National Enquirer for sports! Yuck!

So, the kids say a Rose Bowl will be a bit disappointing after they thought they were running to a NC. I'm cool with that. Some fans are saying this means DAT and Huff won't give 100% in Pasadena (if we make it).

That is total hogwash. I'm disappointed too...but, will make the most of it and enjoy another RB!

I'd take that Rose Bowl scenario a step farther, Urban poached Dontre Wilson a week before signing day using fear of impending sanctions and bowl bans as his reasoning. The Buckeyes we owe from our last RB with them and OSU is riding a two year undefeated streak in that cupcake Big 10.

We smack THE OHIO ST. around and win the 100th Rose Bowl! That's a damn good time!!!!!
