DS: “I think if I’m not 100 (per cent) I think I’ll be close to it. I’m not even really so much concerned about it. For me, if I was still running with a limp and that type of thing I would be a little more concerned, but right now it’s all tedious work. It’s just going back and doing the things I need to do to get right, so it’s really on me now because the hard part is really over. It’s easy now, but it’s still hard at the same time. It’s going to be work, but I’ll be back.”</div> http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/news/intervie...ire-060727.html I guess this is good news, but I was never really a fan of any of our three point guards last season. They all played with that shoot-first mentality and took posessions off defensively. I'd probably rather see Lowry get the bulk of the playing time this season. We especially don't need Stoudamire to get a lot of playing time this season with the way we've reshaped our lineup defensively, losing Shane Battier.
So does this mean your team won't be making the playoffs? If you want to see a rookie starting, I feel bad for you. West has destroyed this playoff team, now I see them in the high lottery. VC, think he might be trying to get Oden?

What moves has he done to turn this team into a team thats looking to get the #1 pick overall? I think you're forgetting that Stoudamire missed more than half of the seasonlast year and the Grizzlies managed without him. West also traded one of thebest 2 way players in the league, a risky move, for a very very talented player who he has high hopes for. This is also the same guy that traded a solid veteran center name Vlade Divac for a highschooler name Kobe Bryant. I think Rudy Gay will be a solid pro next year. He obviously won't reach his potential right away, or probably won't get near it, but he'll show flashes and be able to produce right away as well. There's little reasonto believe that West is not trying to contend for the playoffs now while building his future.
