Stoudemire dunked for grins, drained three-pointers in streams and bounced around the Delta Center floor with a new bounce in his step. Then he put on his jacket, moved to the end of the Suns bench and watched the game in a scenario that may not last if he keeps progressing like this. He called it "a great day," following two strong days of scrimmaging in Phoenix. He said Tuesday that he felt none of the usual right knee soreness he has after workouts. "If we can keep that up for at least a few more days, three, four, five days and keep going hard, then I'll look forward to coming back pretty soon," Stoudemire said. Coach Mike D'Antoni could see it sitting courtside as Stoudemire shot Tuesday. "You can tell when somebody's getting the urge," D'Antoni said. "He's getting the bug, and his legs look good."</div> Source This is the most exciting Amare news I've heard in a while. Esp. with the Suns' lack of size being exploited 4 of the last 7 games for losses. If there's ever a time to get STAT back, it's now.
Great news. He's not going to be as dominant as last year, but if he can put up around 20/8, that will be huge for Phoenix.
Yeah, the way I see it, if he can put up Kurt Thomas' numbers, they'll go back to doing as good as they have so far this year before Kurt's injury. And that was still championship caliber ball IMO.
Screw the first article, this is the big one!!! <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Suns forward Amaré Stoudemire could be back in action as quickly as Thursday night. The All-Star big man, out since left knee surgery in October, said the chances were “80-20” that he’d play Thursday night when the Suns host the Portland Trail Blazers at U.S. Airways Center. Stoudemire said today was the best he’d felt since the microfracture surgery and that, barring any swelling in his recently troublesome right knee on Thursday morning, he was hopeful that he’d be on the court vs. the Trail Blazers.</div> Source
