Here is an article from the Orlando Sentinnel. It's the first time I've heard anything positive about Vince in a longtime. "It's a throwback trend, except this time it's been jazzed up in a major way. Last week, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady and Shaquille O'Neal became available. Bryant opted out of his contract. McGrady demanded a trade, or the Magic pressured him to demand one. O'Neal, the biggest of the bunch, requested a trade, which is interesting because 360-pound men generally don't request anything. Carter has been quiet, though. He easily could invent a reason to crave an escape from Toronto. His team has fallen from the playoffs to the lottery. He keeps watching his coaches get fired. He offered up Julius Erving for the team's general-manager position, but the Raptors chose Rob Babcock. All the while, Carter's detractors point and say, "Look, I told you he can't win." He has motive to move. Right now, however, he doesn't have the will. "I'm giving them the opportunity to try to correct it and make us a playoff team again," Carter said. "It's tough. We've been through a lot. I'm just trying to stay focused. You never know what will happen." Here is the whole article for those who want more. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/bask...ports-headlines
It is true, Carter has said nothing, and yet the media kept saying he wants to be traded. Also this new article for Iverson traded for Carter. Doing that would ensure loss. At least Carter listens to his coaches and doesnt get mad so easily as Iverson does. Iverson probably wouldnt' even want to come to Toronto. Carter still has many good years left in him contrary to popular belief. Its just he's not like the best like he was when he just got drafted, he is just really good right now, not almost the best like before.

Basically because of them not hiring Dr. J to be in the front office. He really cant be moved easily not only does the team not want to trade him, but he is schedualed to make 13 million dollars (US) next season. A player though one of my favorites who has had a past of injuries and is getting that kind of money will be though to move.
Not really, Carter isn't hard to move, you won't get equal value for him but temas want him. Jalen Rose is a guy that's hard to move, Carter is not at all.
I don't really blame Carter sometimes. He's a good guy, Christian at that. A rapist possibly going to the Raptors? That can affect the mind of a guy, also I don't really like Dr. J myself, adulterer and partly racial towards the Caucasians. Simply bad role models and people to work alongside with, plus I guess he feels bummed that they just didn't make the playoffs. He's played well, now he just needs to mature and become a better leader. He should stay, this team once they get an awesome PG and better C, could very well have a good chance of becoming a really good team.
Vince Carter is the definition of perserverance, mature, and discipline. Good guys finish first, so I think he will be one of the best, if not the best next season.
Okay let's not get over our heads Chungster, remmeber Vince isn't geting any yougner or anything now....
Well If He Does Ask For A Trade(even Thought I Hope He Doesnt) Then The Number One Team To Get Him Will Be Detriot. In Interviews Larry Brown Said If He Would Love Vince To Coach He Is A Really Good Player Who Would Be Great In His Offense. Larry Said That One Of His Fav Players To Coach On The Usa Team Was Vince But The Thing Is Who Would Toronto Get Back For Him
I'm sick of hearing Vince's mom talk for him, enough of that. But Carter should not erquest to leave Toronto. Hoepfully this marks a new beginning in Toronto. With him taking a rest I think we got sometjhing good in the next ocuple of seasons. Or atleast better than the last two
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Okay let's not get over our heads Chungster, remmeber Vince isn't geting any yougner or anything now....</div> You generally get better as a player as you get older. You generally get worse as a player when you're in your early 30's. Vince is only 27. I don't think any player of a caliber of Vince got depleted in skills at 27. I think many players of a caliber of Vince played at the top of their game in their late 20's.
I know, but I'm just saying he's in his prime right now, he's not going to dratically blossom next year, I can't see him averaging 27 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists or something while shooting 46% from the field and 40% from behind the ark and also going to the line a lot, and averaging 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks a game.
Vince has gotta stay... Raps for life, I couldn't see him playin for another team, it just doesnt seem right. And stop referrin to Kobe as a rapist, nothing's proven yet.
